Muscle Car Quiz is a collaboration of numerous cars that we felt justified wearing the title Muscle Car. You will see some overlap with pony cars from the early 60's and sports cars from the 50's as well. Our definition of a Muscle Car is as follows: Any rear wheel drive automobile made in America between 1953 and 1979 (although I would agree that the last true muscle cars met their demise in 1972) with a V8 engine and plenty of horsepower to fry the tires at will. Having many different engine, transmission and differential gear ratios is a thing of the past. This quiz was created to test your knowledge of historic Muscle Cars that ruled the streets before turbo chargers, AWD and front wheel drive tuners TRIED to step up to the plate. The creation of Muscle Car Quiz started with 2 guys sitting around talking about the cars we fell in love with as kids and strived to own later in life. We hope you enjoy the game as much as we do.
